I have a client that has a problem with drinking too much coke. I need to find a substitute for her to drink. Obviously the correct substitute is water, but I believe in taking baby steps when making changes to a lifestyle. There are some more restrictions- she can't drink anything with Aspartame in it as it gives her a headache. She can't drink orange juice I think she is allergic from listening to her symptoms, and she can't drink tea because it gives her heartburn. All suggestions and ideas welcome. Thanx guys!

Yep, that pretty much leaves her with water.

She can't drink diet sodas, or any diet cool drinks, tea, or orange juice because they make her feel crap or sick, but guzzling down coca cola is fine? She sounds full of shit and that's probably what I would tell her.

Pyro I'm no genius but I can tell you, I was a coke freak.....drinking coke as if it's going out of fashion it's addictive, but when I started training and drinking water like 5 liters a day.... I don't feel like drinking any coke. It gets easier. i't been 3 to 4 months now.

Solal 24 in 1. The question needs to be posed to her. Is drinking coke really worth being over weight for is getting into shape more important. For the same calories as 1 can of coke she can be eating a 200g baked potato

I see the Sodastream diet sodas do not contain aspartame. They use splenda as a sweetener which is sucrolose. Sucrolose tastes more like real sugar as well so maybe that's an option.

For every small glass of coke she has, she must have a big glass of water. Then slowly increase it after every week to two, then three etc.

Tell her straight that most of us would rather drink something yummy instead of water but we know what we have to do.

Its not fun drinking water at my work because its so f'ing cold but i force it down.
